3 Essentials for Planning an Awesome Beach Party

Summer is just around the corner! You know what that means, BEACH PARTY! Well, in the South Bay, we are pros at beach parties. Beach parties can be relaxing and fun when they are done properly. They aren’t something that needs to be seriously stressed over, but they do require a little bit of planning. Keep these things in mind when you are doing your planning.

Plan Some Activities

Blog (6)Don’t completely stuff the day with activities, because most of the time, your guests will likely want some time to lay on their towels, get some sun and talk with each other. However, it can be nice to have some activities for your guests to participate in when they want to get active. Popular activities include:

  • Beach volleyball tournaments
  • Badminton
  • Ultimate frisbee
  • Water balloon wars
  • Bocce ball
  • Sand castle competitions

As stated earlier, don’t fill up the day with a bunch of activities, make sure that you have time for your guests to just sit, relax and enjoy the summer sun. However, it is nice to plan some events for your party.

Plan Your Catering

If you are planning a beach party, make sure that you find someplace close to the beach to cater your party. That way, you can just pick up your food on your way to the beach. We have done quite a bit of beach party catering and we know the best menu for a beach party. The beach can be windy, so we recommend that you get items where you don’t need to use plates or flatware. Sandwiches and pizza are always a great option. We make all of our sandwiches fresh for your event and any pizza will be right out of the oven when you pick it up. Make sure that you have enough food to feed all of your guests. You don’t want anyone leaving the party still feeling hungry. Our party catering options can feed parties ranging from 25 to 100 or more. Also, make sure that your guests are well hydrated. With all the activities that they are playing on the beach, they are going to get thirsty. Make sure that you have bottles of water and other cold drinks.

Bring Your Beach Essentials

When you are planning your beach party, make sure that you have everything that you need. There are a number of items that you need, so make sure that you grab everything before you head out to the beach. Take a look at this checklist to ensure that you have everything.

  • Towels
  • Sunblock
  • Hats
  • Beach chairs
  • Umbrellas or a tent
  • Equipment for planned activities
  • Boogie boards or surfboards
  • Jackets and sweatshirts

The best advice we can offer is don’t stress out too much about your party. Make sure that everyone has a good time and is well fed. Being at the beach can be tiring and having food available will keep your guests fueled throughout the day. Have fun enjoying the summer sun and your party!
